Liaison force dedicated to senior vaccination
New York City’s COVID-19 vaccination distribution program is currently experiencing a gigantic backlog as the demand far outpaces supply of vaccination doses. Registration is over-reliant on digital technology when seniors are the least technologically savvy, a system which is unproductive and discriminatory. There must be quick action to create a liaison force that specializes in senior outreach for COVID-19 vaccination distribution.
Creation of vaccination distribution centers outside of hospitals
While New York City’s hospitals provide world-class health care service, they are either at or dangerously over capacity with patients. It is time to establish large-scale distribution centers outside of hospitals solely dedicated to distributing vaccination doses similar to remote rapid-testing sites. Two prime locations for eastern Queens are CitiField and the North Shore Towers.
